You can read my general notes on Camp Wavelength here. The populist name-drop to grab people's attention about Scott Morgan's solo project is to mention that he has served as Destroyer's drummer — but the more telling tidbit is to note that he's been releasing albums on the esteemed Kranky label for nearly a decade and a half. Offering up some deep-bass sonic cleansing, this was like a benevolent version of those sonic pacification weapons you see the riot squads using. I'm glad that this festival offered up a full range of musical experiences — some suitable for dancing, some for fist-pumping joy, and some (like this) suitable for laying on the grass, watching the clouds as the day's light begins to fade and the dragonflies pass by overhead.
