You can read my general notes on Camp Wavelength here. When this Montréal quartet took the stage, I was mostly attuned to their Constellation Records lineage (including Jean-Sebastien Truchy's work in the seminal Fly Pan Am), and indeed the set's opening, with plenty posthardcore bass shredding, sounded like this would fall solidly in a certain Constellation-y sound. But as the set progressed it turned out the real distinctive element here would be Nasir Hasan's Fela-esque percussion grooves, making each song feel like it could go for hours, suitable for dancing as the apocalypse descends.
