This evening of creative sounds was curated to introduce Japanese performer Yumiko Yoshimoto to a local crowd, and to give her a chance to have some musical encounters with Toronto sound-makers. She opened the night with a solo set that was as striking as it was succinct, drawing animal sounds and otherwordly singing from the daxophone's tongues.
