The Channels - Symptom Vintage

The Channels are a band from Boston that come prepared — with plastic forks crammed under their strings, or with clips attached to them. They also brought their wah pedals — for guit and bass — and gave them plenty of use in a set that drew equal inspiration from Sonic Youth-style shard-shredding and Primus-y speed prog. Dubbed something of a supergroup of Boston underground performers (of which I'm only familiar with Guerilla Toss) it looks like the band has already been through a couple incarnations, moving from a dual-drummer format to its current trio.
