"We used to be called The Magic," commented Geordie Gordon at the start of this set. "Maybe we still are." Geordie and his brother have the follow-up to the excellent Ragged Gold in the can, so it's more career-positioning/music biz limbo than anything else keeping it out of circulation. Their set at this gig more or less covered the unreleased album, though with just the pair playing at some points it sounded a bit more like a live rendition of the demos than a finished product. But even if the music was a little spare, there's some top-notch tunes waiting to be heard. Here's a couple of 'em; hopefully the whole package will be seeing the light of day soon.
