Having seen her do some fantastic work (with Christine Duncan and others) I was tremendously excited to have Laura Swankey at TCB, and even more so when I heard she'd be joined by two cool musicians from her cohort. Her vocalizations ranged from smooth coos to harsh cries (and ended with a heartfelt spoken segment) while Furlong's double bass ranged from background burbles to percussive knocks. O'Reilley, meanwhile, did a fantastic job adding all kinds of textures with his guitar and pedal rack, sometimes sounding like a second voice. Keep an eye out for these names.
