Full review to follow. Celebrating a new, self-titled album, Brooklyn-via-Denver Woodsman succeed by not falling into any of the easy pigeonholes that instrumental bands can get trapped in. This set featured a soupçon of postrock friction (though without the clichéd build-up-and-explode) that sounded like the middle segment of a DMST track, a smidgen of psychedelic jam and (especially on this track) some krautrock propulsion.
