Poppy Seed and the Love Explosion - In the RealFull review to follow. Fronted through various incarnations by Steven Bromstein, PSLE has been around since the early nineties, though it wasn't 'til '98 that they released debut album Days Dream of You. That might make the gap between that and the new Beyond the Seventh Sun less surprising. The new material is at its best when the band slows down and drifts along, stretching things out in unhurried bliss that recalls not so much the '60's psychedelia that the band name suggests, but slowburning 90's refractions of it.
