The soft-spoken Ryan Driver is not very much of a big self-promoter and phrases like "songwriter's songwriter" sound a bit like backhanded praise. But there's good reason to be quietly excited as these two nights (with two sets each!) at the lovely Array Space give one of the city's best a chance to celebrate the release of the new double album The Ryan Driver Quintet Plays The Stephen Parkinson Songbook. (The keen-eyed will note that the group has expanded since the album was recorded.)
