For Esmé - Make a Sound

The confections from this electro-pop driven trio (fronted by Martha Meredith's Heart-era Stars crooning) sometimes seemed as sweet as sugar (which is also the title of their recent debut full-length), but there are some barbs underneath the surface, such as "In The Night Air"'s fraught night walk homeward. Flanked by Dave Thiel and Nathan Crook, Meredith had a strong stage presence, pulling the crowd forward to get a dance party started.
