This night from Nick Storring's Riparian Acoustics opened with this pairing of Allison Cameron (electronics) and Kurt Newman (dobro) taking some cues from the background drone of the season's cicadas. A sort of back-porch hypnagogic drift, that sort of near-dream sensation you get while snoozing and the setting sun's rays slowly creep onto your face, and things in your mind get just a little too uncanny to be languid.
