Celebrating the release of her solo saxophone tape, Karen Ng brought along a couple parties-of-one exploring different forms of sole practitioning. In a classic Tranzac standoff, Rob Clutton's double bass tones were up against some grooves from a party in the Tranzac's Main Hall, which might have informed the unquiet skronky bowing and indelicate fingerings heard at the outset here.

Solo music fans need not worry, though, as Kayla Milmine will be opening the evening with a set of solo improvisations for alto saxophone.]
