- Along with all the activity associated with Public Recordings' presentation of Pauline Oliveros' "To Valerie Solanas and Marilyn Monroe in Recognition of Their Desperation" (see info above on a trio of open-to-the-public rehearsals), Art Metropole and The Music Gallery are presenting a special event with Ione, Oliveros' spouse and long-time collaborator, reading from her memoir Pride of Family: Four Generations of American Women of Color. The event is taking place on Thursday, February 14th at A Different Booklist — full info can be found in the facebook event. Ione will also be the special guest at the next participatory instalment the Pauline Oliveros' Text Scores, a "sounding choir" facilitated by Anne Bourne. [This free event is currently sold out but twenty more spots will be released on February 9th.]
