Local indie flick MINOR is going the Kickstarter route to raise some funds to get their movie made — and to help the cause, some cool bands lent their time to play this fundraiser. The night's real coup was engineering this return from local psych unit The Saffron Sect, who haven't done a show in a couple years. I was especially pleased for this, as by the time I put together the fact that it was composed of folks that I knew and dug from other bands, I'd missed my chance. I'd suspected that live, tunes like this one (which lasts all of 2:15 in its album form) would get stretched out — and I was proven right in that regard. Hopefully this wasn't just a one-off.
