In between his other band and his side gigs, Steven Foster has been working on this project for more than a year now, and with an album due out next month, it's developed into something quite inneresting. More stripped-down and scrappy than D+M, the band's something of a hard folk/power pop hybrid that brings to mind the songcraft of his bandmate/peer Carmen Elle, or, say, hints at the vague Beatles-isms of Sam Phillips — all tossed in a blender and sent out to busk on the sidewalk.
