Esmerine - Lost River Blues

Esmerine, which started some time back as a duo, is now a quartet — and for this show their size has doubled again as they were joined by some of the Turkish musicians they collaborated with on their brand-new Dalmak album. At some points this set had the studied interplay that you might hear at a New Music concert, but the band also has some "go big" post-rock moves in their repertoire as well. That made for some intriguing textures, and there were some gorgeous moments here, especially in the more delicate passages.
