For the opening set at this second instalment of this monthly series, I was curious to see what would happen on a musical blind date, mixing two players who had never met. Both Gabi and Kayla are song-singers and improvisers (the former on her own as well as in bands like Teen Tits Wild Wives; the latter does both as one-half of Faster) and they found a meeting point in short, song-length bursts for trumpet, soprano sax and voice.
