Kaja Draksler/Andrew Furlong/Brodie West - [final section]This final night of the third edition of the TONE festival saw a quartet of Amsterdam-based musicians recombine over three sets to make sounds in several styles. Pianist Kaja Draksler returned for a second set, this time joined by locals Andrew Furlong (double bass) and Brodie West (alto sax). Although there were no prepared piano excursions here and the overall sound was somewhat more restrained, this was an example of quiet intensity, building up a bit at the end of the set heard here to release the pent-up latent energy.
