Over the past couple years, most of the cool local-ish shows that were once frequently found at The Garrison have shifted over to the slightly-cozier Baby G. That makes it an interesting coincidence that for the second week in a row, the locals are holding court at the Big G for a cool weekend event. Drawing several musicians from the same circles as last week's Cosmic Range show, three-quarters of this bill are acts that really reward careful listening from an attentive crowd, so we'll see if the affiliation with a local music industry conference detracts from that. Still, an excellent time to catch Max Turnbull's post-Slim Twig library music project before their album drops next month alongside some most excellent peers.
