Corpusse - Terror and Romance

While the night's other openers played on the warped pop dynamics and fancy grooves found in the headliner's music, Corpusse quite certainly reflected the unbridled theatricality that's present in Man Made Hill's work. The dynamics are quite different — no matter how often he asks, "why don't you dance, dance baby?", Corpusse's goth-drone dirges probably aren't going to call up much booty-shaking. But as a can't-take-your-eyes-off-it spectacle, you could definitely see how this inspired the night's headliner.
