A sort of ramblin' Fahey-esque balladeer for the OxyContin age, Frank Hurricane's "spiritual mountain psych gangsta folk" was delivered with the utmost tension between his free-wheeling monologues and his songs — with open-hearted, delicate fingerpicking giving way to spiritual howls. Together, it made for an altogether striking live presentation.
