Playing a solo set to warm things up for Fiver's album release gig, Taylor Kirk brought some a few new tunes that managed to amp up the psycho-stalker vibe found in his past work while branching out a bit musically — there were a few more country signifiers, and this one hinted at something like a creepy Lambchop. And since Simone Schmidt isn't usually inclined to spend much time looking back, he filled in that gap by closing with a $100 cover.
