Full review to follow. I first encountered Scott Harwood when he was playing in psych-drone rockers Ostrich Tuning. After some time in Berlin, he's returned with this new solo project, exchanging his guitar for an MC-303. Playing without the safety net of a laptop, this is the sort of dance music I like to see live — a little rough around the edges and based as much in solid songcraft as techno architecture. A little tender and tentative, even while thumping its chest.
