Well-known as an expert guitar-wrangler (especially with his trusty 16 Second Delay at the ready), Patrick O'Reilly took an exploratory step here, presenting to the public his experiments in modular synthesis for the first time. Starting with roar-whirs and ticking sounds, increasing density collapsed into scattered bloops and the rumbling menace of a game of Centipede.
[Next Thursday (January 23rd), Patrick O'Reilly will be playing a duo set (on guitar, not synth) with Andrew Furlong. Track Could Bend is back at Wenona on Tuesday, February 4th, featuring sets from Claire Yunjin Lee, Tidal Pool and the Pete Johnston 4.]
