Alongside Karen Ng from Somewhere There, I had the opportunity to help put together a night for some new out-of-town pals. Caitlin Woelfle O'Brien was the first to pop into my mind for local content on the bill — she refers to her improvisational work as "noise", but while that might lead someone to expect something harsh or discordant, the result is generally quite ethereally beautiful, employing layers of ascendant vocal loops.
