Ryan Kinney/James Bailey/mkl32 - [excerpt]This self-curated night at Audiopollination saw the usual mix of textures and musical practices, as well as a few surprises like a musical crutch. That was wielded by James Bailey in this trio that skirted the borderlands between skritchy stringband and percussion ensemble – in the endzone of the set as heard here, they even brush up against a pleasing tunefulness.
