Visiting percussionists Ben Rempel and Justin Gunter are no strangers to reclaiming public spaces for their performances, so their Toronto appearance in the vibrantly-decorated quadrangle of the Bickford Centre felt like a completely-suitable environment for their minimalist percussion duos. No mere jams, they played with a focused rigour while allowing their sounds to mix in with the environment surrounding them.
