This seasonally-appropriate, pinterest-obsessed trio arose from a challenge I issued to guitarist Patrick O'Reilly, asking if he would be interested in bringing out some of the younger musicians he'd encountered in his work at U of T. He eagerly agreed, enlisting vocalist Annie Elgie and bassist PT Sandberg — and bringing along his guitar and his usual array of pedals. Sandberg showed a bassist's appreciation for repetition — something that can be daunting to commit to in an improvised context — while Elgie used a harmonizer pedal and some other tricks to pry her way in between the other sounds on stage.
