Monday Roundup #28

In the absence of concert listings, my regular Monday dispatches have fallen off. After bringing some life to the blog with the "bumping into" series, I figure I should get back in the groove. I'm guessing that this will be a bit like what used to get shoved into the end of the post when I was doing listings — some bandcamp suggestions, nods to a few livestreams, and sundry community notes (email me if you have anything that needs broadcast in the latter category!). Plus maybe a look back through the MFS archives.

Video hits:

  • Tamara Lindeman seems eager to hit the stages with some real-life audiences to celebrate this year's Ignorance album, and if this is anything to go by, she'll be bringing along a top-notch band (here including Kieran Adams, Christine Bougie, Philippe Melanson, Karen Ng, Johnny Spence and Ben Whiteley) in fine form.

Livestream nation:

  • The end of the month means Exit Points will be returning for an evening of electroacoustic exploration (that'd be on Wednesday the 28th) with two curated sets (consisting of Jaames Willoughby, Clara Takarabe, Kasey Pocius and thispatcher up first, followed by Yunjin Claire Lee, Scott Lepore and Kavi) as well as the usual online community "switchemups". Catch the stream (and find out how you can participate) here.

It happened this week...

  • ...on July 27, 2017 at Home Baking Co.
