Alle Meekingsmith - [second piece, part 2]On her third-Tuesday-of-the-month night at Wenona, Karen Ng tends to muster up a full house — with the audience often packed full of same the musicians you'll be going to see playing their own gigs later in the week. This portmanteau name represented an amalgamation of the talents of Lina Allemano (trumpet), D. Alex Meeks (drums), Karen Ng (alto sax) and Mike Smith (electronics). With Smith providing skrches and zolps, the atmosphere moved from hypnozone to lurching sputters to a controlled canter.
