A fabulous night of creative electronic music at Nilan Perera's monthly, featuring two noteworthy locals each sharing their sonic conceptions before teaming up for a collaborative set. Nicholas Murray is probably best known for his work as half of essential local duo LAL, but he's also busy producing and creating beats on the side. His solo set contained song-length ideas, drift-marching through city dreamscapes, bathed in the flicker of abstract projections.

I will be curating and guest-hosting the next SynapticCircus night, coming up on Sunday, December 30th and featuring collaborations from Liz Hysen and Kurt Newman's Nightmare Alley [voice/pedal steel spookiness] plus electronic skronk/acoustic screech from Mira Martin-Gray and Mkl32. It's a Sunday night, but maybe you have the Monday off!
