Debashis Sinha - The Light [two edited sections]

Once again pointing to how much music there is in this city, it was actually a recommendation from a Montréal acquaintance that led to local Debashis Sinha leading off this MFS-presented show. With a musical practice ranging from sound design to ensemble percussion to electronic music, Sinha covers a lot of ground, but for this show he brought a taste of his in-progress radiophonic work The Light, exploring the audible properties of the visual spectrum. The accompanying visualisations created a sort of poetic planetarium vibe.
