Gig of the week:

Keerat Kaur (Loom) / Hugh's Room 2020-01-09 (Thursday) [FB event]

An intriguing night at hand here. Hugh's Room is a spot that keeps busy serving scenes I'm at best adjacent to, so it's unusual to see a show I'm this keen about listed there — but it looks like a good-sit-down-and-listen spot for this show. Anything that Brooke Manning's mysterious and achingly-beautiful Loom project is up to is worth paying attention to, and live performances are sometimes rare birds, making this a must see. Keerat Kaur is new to me, but I'm ready to get on board with some songs with echoes of the "classic Bollywood era"
