This local crew are deeply inspired by Tropicália, the Brazilian pop movement of the '60 and '70's with a heady mix of psychedelic rock with samba and bossa nova. Raising some funds to complete work on their forthcoming full-length, the band played two sets — one of their own material and another with covers of some of the songs that inspired them. Both were full of great tunes and bum-shaking fun, demonstrating that the band can appeal to comp-collecting crate diggers as well as folks looking for a place to dance.
