A fabulous night of creative electronic music at Nilan Perera's monthly, featuring two noteworthy locals each sharing their sonic conceptions before teaming up for a collaborative set. Once again, modular hero Heidi Chan showed off her expert synthesis of acoustic + electronic elements, playing a sample bank of her own flute sounds which were looped and chopped up into her mutating longform improvisation.

I will be curating and guest-hosting the next SynapticCircus night, coming up on Sunday, December 30th and featuring collaborations from Liz Hysen and Kurt Newman's Nightmare Alley [voice/pedal steel spookiness] plus electronic skronk/acoustic screech from Mira Martin-Gray and Mkl32.
