Full review to follow. Sometimes good things do come to those who wait. Persian Rugs have been building up their songbook and recording for long enough that they called their debut long-player This is OK For Now. That self-aware, ironic sense of being slightly underwhelmed fits right in with songs about growing up and accepting/not accepting the limitations of one's life (cf "Underemployed", "I Wanted Something More"). But the crisp and concise production reaffirms the small spots of joy that are nevertheless at hand. This is OK for now — who wants perfection anyway?
