Full review to follow. Grey skies turned to rain on Afrofest's second day, turning the grounds of Woodbine Park into a series of miniature lakes/giant puddles. The brave and joyous simply kicked off their shoes and kept dancing.

The most adventurous music of the afternoon came from this "African Orchestra", a pan-continental grouping that gives different musical traditions a rare chance to rub elbows. For example, in this song from Daniel Nebiat, you can hear his Eritrean krar jousting playfully with Sadio Sissokho's kora.
