The Cosmic Range [New Latitudes release celebration!] (Off World) / The Great Hall 2017-01-19 (Thursday) [FB event]

A worthy opportunity to properly celebrate Matt "Doc" Dunn & co.'s New Latitudes in style — with the band up on a big stage. The album whittles down the group's big sonic universe to a simmer of Sun Ra/electric Miles meditations — though on stage you can expect some more psych-vamp freakouts as well. A band with some of the city's best musicians on stage will also see Sandro Perri and Lorenz Peter set the mood with some live dub/reverb excursions from their Off World project.
