Sometimes it takes a while for music to find not just its audience but its community. Chandra Oppenheim's new-wave/mutant-disco music, independently released in 1980 when she was just entering her teens, became something of a cult item, but when its re-issue last year put her in the company of local art-rockers Bile Sister, it seemed like something had clicked across the decades. Now on the cusp of taking an all-star T.O backing band (Julie Reich, David Jones, Victoria Cheong, Jesse Locke, Nyles Miszczyk) on tour, Chandra and co. are celebrating with this party at the Jam Factory, super lineup of local supporting acts included.
