Patrick O'Reilly assembled this special evening at The Tranzac to exchange some local sounds with visiting Estonian musician Kristjan Kannukene, whose work ranges from improvised explorations to the intricate songcraft he shared at this show. With a big voice to match his lanky frame, Kannukene sang lyrics and poetry in several languages, describing a thematic "journey from earth to heaven" with a variety of folk/prog approaches to his playing on guitar and viola.
