After a quieter ease-into-September week of gigs to start the month, things are reliably starting to pick up once more, leading to an intensely-exciting weekend packed full of cool shows. Way too much to see on Saturday, including an exciting Feast in the East, but for this week I'm going to spotlight two other gigs in somewhat off-kilter spaces. Owl's Club has become familiar to local show-goers, filling in the gap as it does for medium-small venues and it should be an apt spot to celebrate Zacht Automaat's new album, which is arriving on vinyl no less. Meanwhile, across town, FASTER are continuing their series at Gerrard Art Space, bringing a wide variety of creative music to the east end. This night, including the ever-more-quiet Magiceyeimage, should reward eyes-closed careful listening.
