Community notes:
- Toronto venue watch: The Silver Dollar is back, sort of. It may be remembered that when the Dollar was torn down, the city managed to add a mandate that the new building that replaced it would have to include an equivalent live music venue. Now, behind the iconic streetfront sign that space is being run as Dina's Tavern. Nick McKinlay (who has been covered in this blog) is handling the bookings and Mondays are jazz nights, with Patrick Smith putting together some PWYC shows. (See listings below!) The photos I've seen of the interior give definite Silver Dollar vibes, so hopefully there'll be good sounds inside and the space will be a success!
