Ayal Senior, Kurt Newman & Andrew Furlong - [two new songs]
Originally conceived as a quartet with percussionist Blake Howard (we can expect to see that formation make an appearace at one of Ayal Senior's upcoming residency shows), this trio was workshopping some new material, feeling out some new vibes in the territory beyond this year's Az Yashir album. The new tunes were a bit more fragmentary and less lived-in, but none the less welcome for that.
