Full review to follow. With troubled times reigning in her native Timbuktu, Arby was an emissary for peace — one more way in which she could be said to be a powerful voice. Her hotshot young backing band got increasingly maximalist as the night went on, with interlocking guitar lines building up to scorching solos, but amping it up never threatened to topple things into too-muchness. A top-notch night.
